Antiperspirants should primarily prevent the development of unpleasant odours. They also contribute to the pleasant feeling of having dry armpits. It is not just the odour of sweat that is unwanted - it can also cause unwelcome wet patches on clothing. Using an antiperspirant on the skin can even leave white residue from the product on the textiles. Worse, however, are stains which are often yellow and which are formed during washing by the chemical reactions between bodily substances and the ingredients in antiperspirants or their accumulation on the textile surface. These look unattractive and are often so stubborn that they cannot be removed by regular domestic washing. A well-known cosmetics manufacturer recognised that, in addition to chemical knowledge, textile and textile chemical expertise was also needed to resolve this problem. So they turned to us.
